California is open for business! And Temple UMC will be soon too. We are preparing now and planning ways to keep our unvaccinated friends safe. As we know from 16 months of experience we need to wait and see how an open California does - with new variants and still many Californians not vaccinated our troubles may not be quite over. BUT we know the new normal is fast approaching and we are so excited for the future! We will go down to one service as we open back up so that we can have an online service edited and out for our online congregants by 11:00 (or so!)
Stay tuned for the forth comiing opening date!

ABOUT OUR CHURCH
Temple United Methodist Church
Located at 65 Beverly St. in beautiful San Francisco, Temple UMC is a uniquely diverse and loving community, open to all. We love Jesus, follow a liberal Wesleyan theology and believe that God adores us all and asks us simply to love God and our neighbor in response. Our ministries involve living out our love for God and our brothers and sisters in San Francisco and throughout the world. We invite you to become a part of our growing community, and we look forward to meeting you!

What's Happening
Temple feeds 400 families a week at our food pantry, Wednesday afternoons 4-6:30 PM.
We receive our food from the San Francisco Food Pantry 2-3 in the afternoon and our wonderful volunteers prepare it to be picked up safely by our patrons. We wear gloves, masks, maintain safe spacing, wash our hands and everything else often!
If you are hungry or know of someone who is, please send them to 65 Beverly Street on Wednesday afternoon and we will see to it that they get food.
We are all in this together. No one needs to be hungry in San Francisco.
We Need Volunteers!
If you are under 60, have your own safe mask, and would like to volunteer we would love a little extra help! Many of our regular volunteers are over 60 and have been asked to stay home.
Be and Do

This is a worship experience of reconciliation, not just between individuals, but between the church and world, between economic status, between races, between orientations.
Let’s tear down what divides and invite all into the discipleship journey so that we can be forgiven and transformed.
